What is felt?
Felt is a mass of wool/and or fur. True felt is made by placing cleansed fibers in the shapes or mass desired, then beating, steaming, pressing, filling, or otherwise compacting them to the required thickness without spinning, weaving or knitting. Felt may be the oldest fabric known to man, and there are many references to felt in ancient writings.
